NAMI's Purpose: NAMI Mendocino County is a grassroots, self-help, support and advocacy organization consisting of families and friends of people living with mental health issuses, clients, professionals and members of the community.
We support people in our community who:
- Are living with mental health challenges
- Have a friend or family member living with mental health issues
- Feel alone and isolated
- Need information about mental illness, local services and support

Family Support Groups provide emotional support to family and friends of people living with mental health issues.

| Educate |
Free Family-to-Family Education program focusing on schizophrenia,
bipolar disorder, major depression, panic and obsessive disorders, biology of the brain,
research, medications, treatment, communication & problem solving skills.
A Library of books, pamphlets, audiotapes and videos for loan are available upon request.
Speakers on brain disorders for community groups.
